The Very Best In Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall next week with another four top comedians – including a firm favourite.
Compere and host is Pete Otway, who is making his debut in Nantwich.
Pete has been wowing audiences since he came to prominence on the circuit in 2010.
Mixing his razor wit with affable charm and creative writing, he has established himself as an original comedian and made the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards.
The first act of the night is Canadian Tom Stade, who has made an instant splash on the UK circuit with his magnetic presence, irrepressible charm and first-class story-telling.
He’s been on most comedy TV shows and his debut DVD “Tom Stade Live” was released last year to great reviews.
Second act Danny Ward has risen through the comedy ranks in probably the most organic way.
He performed at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe as part of the Free Fringe Festival.
Danny won the “People’s Champion Award” for a fantastic piece of stand up that people could go along and see for free. He is also making his Nantwich debut.
And closing act for the May 2 show is Jason Cook.
A firm fan favourite in Nantwich since playing at the Civic Hall in 2012, Jason has written and starred in a second series and Christmas special of hit BBC sitcom “Hebburn”.
Cook produced his own BBC Radio 4 series and 2014 will see him embark on his first proper UK solo tour.
“We’re delighted to welcome Jason back to Nantwich and have the feeling that this will be the final time people get the chance to see him in such an intimate setting,” said promoter Mike Ramm.
The show takes place on Friday May 2. Tickets are priced £10 and are available from Nantwich Civic Hall and www.civiccomedy.co.uk
Doors open 7.15pm, and show starts at 8.15pm.
