Crewe Lyceum Theatre is promoting its traditional Christmas pantomime this year – with a new Crewe Pantomime Challenge game for mobile phones!
The game has been inspired by pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, and is available for iOS and Android users.
This year’s panto, which is fast selling out, stars Lisa Riley of Emmerdale and Strictly Come Dancing fame, and Brendan Sheerin, who starred in Coach Trip.
It runs from Saturday December 13 to Sunday January 4 and is produced by Qdos Entertainment.
“For our giant pantomime, we knew we had to bring out some GIANT fun to really get children and families excited about this year’s spectacular show,” said marketing officer Allison Sundaram.
“We wanted to create something which families could share together, and that parents could download knowing there’s no surprise purchases!
“This fun game is all about building excitement for Jack and the Beanstalk in Crewe this year.”
The game, free to download, is available to download from the Google and Apple app stores now.
Players have to help Jack climb the beanstalk by guiding him with their fingers across the screen.
Children of all ages can help Jack collect gold coins for The Good Fairy and King Brendan.
But they have to make sure to avoid the falling branches along the way.
The game contains no in-app purchases and was developed in conjunction with California-based Yazar Media Group.
Demand for this year’s star-studded pantomime has already exceeded the Theatre’s 2013’s record-breaking production, Peter Pan.
Tickets for the performance are selling quickly and families are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
