St Mary’s Church in Nantwich will be hosting an event called “Christmas with the Nantwich Singers” on December 13.
The programme will include music from the 16th century (Guerrero and Victoria) through to the 21st Century (Will Todd and Alan Bullard).
There will be representation from the 20th Century with Poulenc, Howells and John Tavener.
As well as Christmas carols, the singers will include a more substantial work: Magnificat by Pergolesi, a joyful ‘frothy’ piece from the early 18th century.
There will also be a chance to join in with some of the more popular congregational carols.
Tickets are just £10 and are available from the Church Shop, Think about IT or from a choir member.
The event starts at 7.30pm on Saturday December 13.
