Campaigners in Willaston are urging residents to attend a public meeting to discuss controversial housing applications.
The meeting will be at Willaston Primary School on Monday February 9, starting at 7pm.
It will give residents a chance to air their views on two recent applications to build 120 houses on land to the rear of Cheerbrook Road, and 175 houses south of Park Road.
Deadline for views to Cheshire East Council on Cheerbrook Road plans is midday on February 12.
Deadline for Park Road views is midday on February 26.
Willaston and Rope Cllr Brian Silvester (pictured) has been asked to lead the meeting and to speak and answer questions.
He said: “Residents are totally opposed to these applications and I hope residents will attend to hear the reasons why they should be rejected.
“Willaston School is to be congratulated on organising and hosting this public meeting.
“I am sure that if we mount a vigorous campaign these applications can be defeated.”
Anyone wishing to write in to air views on the applications should write to Development management, PO Box 606, Municipal Buildings, Earle Street, Crewe, CW1 9HP, or email [email protected]
