A school magazine produced by Tarporley students has been shortlisted for a national award.
Tarporley Sixth Form’s magazine, called ‘Term’, has been nominated fro the ‘Shine’ National School Media Awards.
The Awards Ceremony will take place on June 22, in Stationer’s Hall, London.
And five members of the student editorial team will be heading to the event.
The magazine has been shortlisted for a number of awards, including best article and best front cover.
The Telegraph’s senior journalist Simon Heffer and editor of Cosmopolitan, Louise Court, will host the awards.
The day will include industry workshops led by media experts.
Hearst Magazine will give insights into the publishing industry.
And Sarah Douglas, Social Media Manager at The Sun, and Steve Marchant from ‘The Cartoon Museum’ will also run sessions.
Mrs Dunning and Mrs McMillan, two Tarporley High School teachers who help the editorial team, said: “We are so pleased all the hard work, organisation and commitment of the team, has resulted in this accolade.
“At a busy time in terms of exam pressure, it is amazing a magazine of such quality was produced. The breadth and range of the articles were very impressive.”
