Cheshire Blades FC held a family fun day at its base in Willaston, Nantwich.
The free event took place at the rear of the Peacock Hotel, off Crewe Road.
There were fun football coaching sessions, a bouncy castle, a BBQ and refreshments, relaxation treatments, and numerous stalls.

I went to the model railway behind the Peacock with my family on Saturday and we also came across the CheshireBlades open day – more by chance than knowing about it.
There were some fantastic opportunities for the kids to enjoy at the Blades open day, and some very worthwhile causes being supported by the different stalls and stands.
The only disappointment was the lack of people who attended, maybe like myself, most people knew nothing about it. I never saw it advertised and it was a shame after all the effort that had gone in to the event that it was not better attended.
Next year, maybe advertise it better and I am sure that the turn out would be much better. But well done for the different activities for the families.
