Willaston WS suffered a 5-4 penalty shoot-out defeat against Queens Park from the Wirral in the second round of the Cheshire FA Sunday Cup.
The teams had been tied at 1-1 after extra time, with Ben Burrow grabbing Willaston’s goal.
In the Staffs FA Sunday Challenge Cup, Betley made it to the last 16 with a 3-1 win at Saracens Head with goals from Brandon Grindley (2) and Tom Slaney.
With the Premier Division Leaders Railway Hotel not playing there was mixed fortunes for the chasing pack.

NHB beat Leighton 2-1 in what was a very even game with both sides going for the win, but it was NHB through Jamie Ball and Paul Gregory who won the game.

Ocean FC also hit double figures as they beat Nantwich YF 10-2 with Bako netting six goals.

Brunel Arms moved up to 4th in the table with a 5-0 win over Haslington FC with two goals from Ricky Mellor and further goals from Danny May, Tom Broomhall and Ben Styche.
AFC Alsager won 6-2 at Crewe FC, while Bank Corner returned to winning ways with a 4-1 win at Sandbach Town.
