A Nantwich businesswoman earned herself a Twitter boost when Theo Paphitis selected her as Small Business Sunday winner.
Tara Cork, who owns Perch Upholstery based in Aston, tweeted the entrepreneur during his SBS initiative.
And Paphitis chose her as was one of six weekly winners to gain a retweet to his 500,000 followers.
And already Tara has seen a difference in more social media followers and visitors to her website.
Tara (pictured, right) and other winners are also profiled on the #SBS website, exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.
She said: “I’ve only been in business a year and I still work out of my garden workshop.
“It is great to have support from Theo because it’s very hard to raise my profile as a small independent business.
“Theo has recognised my hard work and helped spread the word about what I do to his following.”
Paphitis said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.
“My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings.
“The website and Shop #SBS will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Perch Upholstery every success.”
The weekly initiative, set up in 2010, now has more than 2,000 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.
#SBS Winners also have access to the selling platform www.shopsbs.co.uk where winners are selling thousands of products
Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Paphitis should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS.
Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8pm and then invited to enter their profile on the new website, attend the annual #SBS networking event and other networking opportunities.
