The Crewe Regional Sunday Football League kicked off with games in Division One only.
Audlem travelled to Winnington to play newcomers Broadhursts but lost 3-1.
Chris Lawrence, Nathan Ormstan and Mustafa Sokmen netted for the home team whilst Mark Parker scored for Audlem.
White Horse had a comfortable 4-0 win over Sandbach Town, with goals from Dan Wade (2), Ryan Briddon and Kevin Beresford.
Winsford Over 3 also had a 4-0 win over newcomers AFC Wickstead, with goals from Tom Taylor (2), Aaron Harvey and Calvin Abbott.
Sydney Arms took the lead against much-fancied newcomers George and Dragon thanks to a long-range effort from Louis Everall.
But a burst of second half goals from Terry Cain (2), Scott Taylor and Brad Holmes gave the visitors a 1-4 win, despite having a man sent off.
Newcomers Nantwich Pirates had to be content with a 2-2 draw against Brighton Belle.
Mike Truan scored both goals for the Pirates, who led twice.
Daniel Larkin scored a late equaliser for the visitors whose other goal was scored by Mike Edwards.
Winsford-based The Ark lost 0-1 to White Lion.
The game between Haslington and White Eagles could not be played as White Eagles are still awaiting International Clearance for Polish-born players, a situation described by a League spokesman as “hugely frustrating for all concerned”.
Next Sunday (August 26) will see the first Premier Division fixtures.
