A teenage girl was arrested after Cheshire Police scrambled a helicopter during a car chase in Nantwich.
Officers were called after reports of a vehicle being taken without consent from a house in South Cheshire yesterday (February 3).
Police pursued the vehicle which came to a stop on Waterlode in Nantwich town centre shortly after 12.45pm.
A 14-year-old girl, from Wrenbury, was detained at the scene on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.
She has now been released as an investigation into the incident continues.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 12.48pm on Sunday, police were called to a report of a vehicle being taken without the consent of the owner.
“After a short police chase officers stopped the vehicle on Water Lode, Nantwich, and a 14-year-old girl from Wrenbury was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.
“She has since been released under investigation and referred to the youth offending team.”
