A man has been seriously injured after falling at a building site in Stapeley, Nantwich.

The incident happened at the Stapeley Gardens development in Stapeley yesterday (June 19).

North West Ambulance Service said a man in his forties was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital in a critical condition.

Health and Safety Executive are investigating how the accident happened.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said officers were called to reports that a 45-year old man had fallen from scaffolding at a building site in Nantwich at about 9.30am.

All work on site has been stopped.
