stapeley grange dog show and summer fair

RSPCA Stapeley Grange wildlife centre and cattery in Nantwich is starting its 25th anniversary celebrations with a summer fair this weekend.

Stapeley Grange, in London Road, opened in 1994 and since then has seen tens of thousands of animals come through its doors.

To mark the milestone, the centre is holding a series of events in celebration – starting with the summer fair this Sunday (July 7) and culminating with a glitzy ball on November 2.

The fair kicks off at 10am and will include a dog show and agility, ferret show and racing, hot and cold refreshments, stalls, archery, a bouncy castle, face painting and lots of craft activities for children.

Cat Radio will be on hand to provide music throughout the day.

Lee Stewart, manager at Stapeley Grange, said: “The Summer Fair is the biggest event on our calendar and a lot of planning and hard work has gone into it to make it a really special day.

“It looks as though the sun will be out on the day so we’d love to see as many people as possible come out and enjoy the nice weather while raising
money for our animals.

“If we do happen to get some rain, the event will still be running so don’t let a little water put you off!

“It is an extra special summer fair this year as it is the start of our 25th anniversary celebrations.

“We have a number of events coming up from now until November to mark our anniversary which the local community, who have always been very good to us, can support.”
