Police have made a third arrest in connection with an assault in Nantwich which left the victim with serious head injuries.
A 26-year-old man from St Helens has now been arrested and he has been released on conditional bail, Cheshire Police confirmed today.
Previously, a 39-year-old man from Nantwich and a 16-year-old girl from Merseyside were arrested in connection with the incident. He was released on conditional bail and the girl was released under investigation.
The victim, a 40-year-old man, has now been discharged from hospital.
Detectives investigating the assault are appealing for information and footage from members of the public.
The incident occurred inside a house in Blagg Avenue at around 7pm on Monday October 7.
Shortly after the incident two men and a female were seen leaving the address.
They walked along Blagg Avenue in the direction of Meeanee Drive.
Inquiries in relation the incident are ongoing and as part of their investigation detectives want to hear from anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage that may aid their investigation.
Detective Inspector Claire Jesson said: “A man suffered serious head injuries as a result of this incident and we are determined to establish precisely what happened and who was responsible and then make them face the consequences of their actions.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we want to hear from anyone with any information or footage that may be relevant to our investigation.”
