A woman who was hit by a lorry as she walked on a busy road in Crewe has died, police confirmed.
The 37-year-old pedestrian involved in the collision on the Haslington Bypass near to Crewe Green roundabout shortly before 1.52am on Tuesday (January 14).
The woman, from Sandbach, was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital with serious injuries, but despite the best efforts of medical staff she died on January 15.
Cheshire Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
Sgt Nick Rogers said: “I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a woman walking along Haslington bypass before the 1.50am that morning.
“If you have dashcam footage or saw a woman walking along the road in the early hours I would urge you to contact me.”
