Two teenagers have been charged in connection with an altercation between several men in Nantwich town centre, police say.
Kian Biddle, aged 18, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, were both arrested in the early hours of Saturday (August 8) following an incident in Beam Street.
The pair have since been charged with Section 18 assault by joint enterprise, possession of an offensive weapon and affray.
Biddle is also charged with criminal damage while the 17-year-old has also been charged with possession of a class A drug.
Biddle, of Clover Croft Place, Crewe, and the 17-year-old boy, also from Crewe, have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court today (August 10).
A 22-year-old man from Shavington who was arrested during the incident has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
A 17-year-old boy from Holmes Chapel was issued with a Cannabis warning.
