Nantwich residents can have their say about road safety policing in a new survey launched by Cheshire’s police and crime commissioner David Keane.
He wants local residents to give their views on how safe the county’s roads are.
It’s part of a national survey by the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners to understand public perception of road safety and roads policing.
The poll seeks to understand local communities’ perception for road law enforcement, risks to safety and fixed penalty notices.
The results will be used to inform a government review into roads policing and what the future of traffic law enforcement may look like.
As part of this review, the Department of Transport is running a “Call for Evidence” in roads policing which seeks to identify what makes a difference and how the capability and capacity of enforcement services can be enhanced.
PCC David Keane said: “Keeping Cheshire’s roads safe is one of main priorities and I am working with Cheshire Constabulary to ensure we educate drivers on how to use our roads safely.
“Sadly, there has been far too many deaths and serious injuries sustained on the county’s roads in recent years so it’s important we ask residents for their views on how we can work with our partners to make roads safer.
“This is local people’s chance to make their voice heard as part of a nationwide review of road safety to ensure the views of Cheshire residents are represented when key decisions are made.”
The 60-second survey can be completed until Wednesday 30 September at: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/apccsaferoads
There needs to be a police patrol very early morning (5am)and again around 8pm to stop these high powered noisy cars racing along the A500 Nantwich by pass and Newcastle road, then repeating the journey, seems to be bored means you have to act like a prat these days
