Nantwich heavyweight boxer Nathan Gorman looks set for a return to the ring in March.

Gorman is scheduled for a 10-round match up against Croatian born German Kristijan Krstacic on March 26-27.

Former Commonwealth Heavyweight champion Gorman is 17-1 in his professional record 11 Knockouts.

Krstacic has a current record of 18-2, with 15 KOs.

Gorman, trained by Ricky Hatton, suffered his only professional loss against Daniel Dubois in July 2019 in their BBBOC British Heavyweight championship fight at The O2 Arena.

He returned to the ring in October 2020 and beat Richard Lartey over 10 rounds on a unanimous points decision in a Commonwealth heavyweight title eliminator.

Gorman told Boxingscene: “After the Dubois fight, I turned my phone off for two months an had no contact with anyone.

“I was umming and ahhing, I didn’t go into the gym, I didn’t even pick up a pair of boxing gloves.

“Then I thought to myself I am going to give it another go. Today I am more hungry now than I have ever been.”

The fight is part of a Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions back-to-back two nights of boxing on BT Sport.

The Hall of Fame promoter’s groundbreaking events will take place at London’s Copperbox Arena.

They include a stack of title fights that will keep fans on the edge of their seats from beginning to end.

Warren said: “We wanted to do something a little different and two nights of live boxing on BT Sport is just that.

“The matches are top class, they will deliver excitement, knockouts, thrillers and I bet there are one or two upsets.”
