Cheshire Police chiefs have welcomed the closure of an asylum seeker hotel in Crewe amid an “unacceptable”  amount of crime and disorder.

A Nantwich man has been jailed following a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a five-year-old child.

The court heard how 18-year-old Kaylem Longhurst was riding the motorcycle when he struck the child, causing serious injuries, before fleeing the scene.

Four Albanian men and a British woman have been sentenced to more than 38 years in prison for a series of high value burglaries across the UK, including in Willaston near Nantwich.

Kristian Gropcaj, 30, George Pepa, 31, Krisjian Dedndreaj, 28, Sidorjan Lleshi, 26, and Jade Tubb, 33, were sentenced at Chester Crown Court yesterday (April 13th) and today.
