Barnardo’s stores in Nantwich join appeal for winter woollies

Staff at Barnardo’s shops across Nantwich and Crewe are appealing for people to have a pre-Christmas sort-out – and donate unwanted winter woollies.

Stocks of winter clothes – such as jumpers and coats – are flying off the rails at the charity’s shops in Nantwich, Stapeley and Crewe, as the weather turns colder.

Firms rally to help Hough youngster Lewis fighting rare leukaemia

A charity ball is being planned to help the family of battling youngster Lewis Crossley in his fight against a rare cancer.

Lewis, of Hough, near Shavington, was diagnosed with T Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and has undergone challenging treatments including multiple courses of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
