Nantwich in Bloom volunteers are already working hard to impress judges in the UK finals of Britain in Bloom. Nantwich scooped the gold medal at the North West in Bloom awards ceremony in Southport, winning the town section and the nomination to represent the region in Britain in Bloom.

A pub in Nantwich is applying  to extend its drinking and live music hours, despite being investigated over complaints of late night noise. The White Horse pub in Pillory Street wants to extend its drinking hours to 2am indoors seven days a week, and extend live entertainment licence to 2.30am.

RSPCA hails Stapeley Grange bat healing discovery

Bats will be spreading their previously-torn wings for Halloween after a new way of treating them was discovered at a Nantwich animal centre. A bat carer at RSPCA Stapeley Grange wildlife centre, on London Road, found even the most dramatic of tears down the wing can heal if the animal is given care.

Nantwich farmers are being advised to attend a free training event in Cheshire to get to grips with health and safety in one of Britain’s most dangerous industries. Ben Miller to open revamped Nantwich play area

TV comedian and actor Ben Miller will open phase two of a popular new play area in his home town Nantwich. More work on the Stapeley recreation area, next to Pear Tree Primary School, will begin this week. It will see the area closed from September 21 for around four weeks.
