Cheshire East look to lease Snow Hill car park for EV charging

New EV charging points are to be installed on Snow Hill car park in Nantwich, Cheshire East Council has confirmed.

Four charge points for electric vehicles will be set up on the far east boundary of the car park, by the pathway which leads through to Swine Market.

Nantwich bus boost as Crewe to Chester service frequency doubles

A key bus route between Crewe and Chester via Nantwich is getting a significant boost using government grant funding aimed at improving transport links.

Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding for both Cheshire East Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council has been used to double the frequency of the daytime no 84 service, which connects both places.

Mobile HWRC to be launched for Wrenbury and Audlem residents

More mobile household waste recycling centres are to be introduced in September, including one for the Wrenbury and Audlem area.

Cheshire East Council said that from September 1st, mobile HWRC will be expanded to cover areas where residents are either more than a 20-minute drive of a HWRC site or in an area where incidents of fly-tipping are high.

The target has soared by more than 150% from 997 dwellings per annum to 2,471, following changes brought in by the Labour government.
