But one councillor said he hoped this was not seen as an invitation for developers to submit housing applications on land allocated for employment.
Town councillors have backed calls for action to make Mill Street in Nantwich safer and stop it from “sinking”.

Nantwich town councillors have welcomed a formal dedication of a new public footpath on Mill Island in the town.
The route is now officially recorded as Nantwich Public Footpath No. 34.

A large 660-home estate, together with 60-bed care home and local centre including shops is proposed for land at Wistaston.
An environmental impact assessment (EIA) scoping report from planning agent Turley, states applicant Hawthorn Estates Investments intends to submit an outline application to Cheshire East Council for the scheme on land off Wistaston Green Road.

Plans for a 49-apartment retirement living scheme on Maylands Park in Nantwich have been recommended for approval.
The application site is part of a larger area to the south of Peter De Stapleigh Way at Stapeley which was granted permission on appeal in 2020 for mixed-use development.
