New look and new location for hospice shop in Nantwich

A social media star, a choir, hospice children, families, staff and shoppers were all present for the opening of the new Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospice shop in Nantwich.

The store has moved a few yards across High Street to the former B&M on Swine Market and refurbished it for a more accessible shopping experience.

Cheshire East Council has renewed the licence for a sex shop on Nantwich Road in Crewe despite objections from a councillor.

Kim Evans, the council’s licensing team leader, told a licensing sub-committee that the licence for Temptations Adult Shop was renewed annually and there had never been an objection from anyone previously.

Crewe & Nantwich MP Connor Naismith says he has raised concerns with Cheshire East over the diversion routes set up to prevent heavy vehicles using Baddington Bridge near Nantwich.

A temporary 7.5 tonne structural weight limit was implemented on the bridge on the A530 Whitchurch Road after inspections found it was no longer safe for vehicles above that weight.
