Cheshire Police Crime Commissioner calls on public to save PCSOs

Cheshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner says he has saved 10 PCSOs from redundancy following Cheshire Police’s announcement in December they were axing 60 in total.

Now he is calling on residents to help save others – by paying more in council tax.

Pupils and staff from schools in Nantwich embraced the festive spirit by taking part in elf runs to raise vital funds for St Luke’s Hospice.

Children from Acton CE Academy, Calveley Primary Academy, Millfields Primary Academy in Nantwich, as well as at St John’s CE Academy in Sandbach and Oak View Academy in Winsford donned elf hats and festive outfits before taking part in sponsored runs.

Gang of six pleads guilty to high value burglaries in Willaston

Five Albanian men and a British woman have admitted their roles in high value burglaries across the UK, including three in Willaston near Nantwich.

Endrit Nikolli, 27, Kristian Gropcaj, 30, George Lleshaj, 31, Krisjian Dedndreaj, 28, and Sidorjan Lleshi, 26, have all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to possess criminal property.

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in a collision with an e-bike which failed to stop at the scene.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, was on the pedestrian crossing on Flag Lane in Crewe near to St Mary’s Street when she was hit by someone on a Sur-Ron style electric motorbike.
