Council officers have refused a change of use application by developers to turn part of the former B&M supermarket in Nantwich into 20 apartments.

Suraj Gangani and Anshul Raja, of Apavi Group Holdings, bought the building on Swine Market in May and want to convert most of the building into apartments.

More mobile household waste recycling centres are to be introduced in September, including one for the Wrenbury and Audlem area.

Cheshire East Council said that from September 1st, mobile HWRC will be expanded to cover areas where residents are either more than a 20-minute drive of a HWRC site or in an area where incidents of fly-tipping are high.
