Police are investigating after a man was found seriously injured on a train in Nantwich.
A train guard on a Shrewsbury to Crewe service came across the injured man who had boarded the train with serious head and facial injuries.
The A500 was closed both ways last night after police were called to talk a man down from a bridge.
The incident happened at around 6pm on the bridge spanning the single carriageway section at Barthomley, between Shavington and the M6.

An active travel, cycling and walking plan for Nantwich and other towns are to go out to public consultation, says Cheshire East Council.
The draft proposals for the latest “local cycling and walking infrastructure plans” (LCWIPs) were discussed by councillors at a highways committee.

Residents have urged Cheshire East to consider introducing a 20mph speed limit on restricted roads across the borough and asked why it isn’t included in the draft active travel strategy.
