Nantwich Town outgoing chairman Jon Gold says it was a tough decision to step down from the role.
Gold has been at the helm for the past seven years and has enjoyed highlights like seeing the club reach the First Round proper of the FA Cup in 2011.
Nantwich Town have won the league fair play award for April having picked up two yellow cards for the month.
The Dabbers received two cautions and no red cards in the seven games they played in the month.
Jon Gold is to step down as Chairman of Nantwich Town FC.
Jon, who has led The Dabbers for the past seven years, will be replaced by Tony Davison with effect from today May 1.
The Railway Hotel in Nantwich secured a league and cup double after winning a tight Crewe FA Cup Sunday Final in extra time.
Opponents FC Semtex had taken the lead in the final through a Malcolm Bostock.
