Fire crews were called out to tackle a chimney fire at a house in Wrenbury near Nantwich.
The incident happened at around 8.45pm last night at a property on Nantwich Road.
Organisers of the annual Bunbury Village Day festival have confirmed this year’s event will take place on Saturday June 13th.
This will mark the event’s 57th year for the volunteer-led community celebration that has become a firm favourite across Cheshire.

A Wybunbury councillor says a new school on the outskirts of Crewe is desperately needed but if children can’t access it safely it shouldn’t be built there.
Cllr Janet Clowes was speaking about proposals to build a new primary school at Basford East.
A driver had to be cut free from wreckage after a collision with a tractor on a busy road between Nantwich and Church Minshull.
The accident happened on the B5074 south of Church Minshull at around 11.45am yesterday (Jan 16th) and fire crews from Winsford and Crewe were called to the scene.
