The illustrated talk will demonstrate the diverse cultural influences which came together through the Anglo-Saxon occupation of our land.

VE Day Celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe, took place in Nantwich town centre.

Union Jack flags lined the streets and shop windows of the town centre, with rain moving the celebrations from the town square to St Mary’s Church.

Commemorations will begin at 12.30pm on Friday May 8 in Nantwich town centre, opening with Redshift Radio and music from the era.
