Nantwich church childcare centre handed £18,400 lottery grant

A Nantwich church which provides childcare while parents shop in the town has received a National Lottery grant of £18,400 to open each Saturday.

Parents/carers and primary school aged children will benefit from the funding awarded to “Drop n Shop” which runs from Nantwich Methodist Church on Hospital Street.

Cheshire East Council staff are being urged to report all incidents of violence and aggression from members of the public to protect themselves and fellow employees.

There have been 21 reported incidents since April this year – 18 were classed as physical assault, aggressive or threatening behaviour and three related to verbal abuse or offensive language.
