An Audlem woman has been honoured by the North West Ambulance Service after clocking up 51 years’ of voluntary service.
Maureen Barratt has been awarded the “Outstanding Contribution to the Ambulance Service” honour.

An ambulance service has been handed extra funding to provide non-emergency transport for South Cheshire patients – less than a year after it agreed to end its original contract.
South Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group will be one of six in Cheshire, Warrington and the Wirral to benefit after a new five-year contract to West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS), which begins on April 1.
