Agency rates for care staff are “going through the roof” with some nursing homes having to pay £75 an hour for a qualified nurse, one of the council’s top bosses has said.

The demand for NHS and care staff is mounting with vacancies unfilled across the country.

Sales of the “The Ultimate Book of Nantwich Town FC” have raised a massive £1,200.

Proceeds from sales have now been donated to two charities supporting NHS and care staff who have worked throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
