The headteacher of Brine Leas School in Nantwich has hailed a “really strong partnership” amid latest performance tables published by the Government.
Andrew Cliffe said staff, students and families working together has helped to achieve strong results for the Audlem Road school.
Tarporley High School Year 11 students achieved outstanding GCSE grades with 77% of students achieving 5 A*-C including English and Maths GCSE.
The class of 2015 sustained the tradition of impressive results, especially in English and Maths with over 80% of students achieving A*-C in these subjects.
MP Edward Timpson has welcomed new vocational qualifications which will help Nantwich and Crewe students prepare for the world of work. Mr Timpson said he was delighted South Cheshire College is one of the first seven colleges picked to offer teenagers new Technical Awards.
Nantwich pupils have celebrating their GCSE results, with 99% of Brine Leas students achieving 5 or more GCSE’s at A* to C. A massive 32% achieved A or A*’s at the Audlem Road school, and 34 students achieved 10 or more A* or A’s.
Brine Leas students in Nantwich enjoyed a visit by Bentley Motors as part of National Apprenticeship Week. GCSE pupils were thrilled when a Bentley Continental GT drove onto the school playground as part of a week long programme of school visits.
