The Halloween and Fireworks season is set to descend on South Cheshire.
And the Nantwich Spooktacular will kick it off this weekend with one of the biggest events of its kind in the North West.

Police have warned youths in Nantwich they will crackdown on Halloween and Bonfire Night anti-social behaviour. Extra officers will be on the streets over the next few days as the annual celebrations take place.
Thousands of people are set to enjoy Halloween and Bonfire Night events in and around Nantwich over the next two weeks. One of the biggest events takes place this Saturday (October 26) with the Nantwich Spooktacular at Dorfold Park.
Nantwich shoppers were bedazzled by “witches” selling tickets to a massive community bonfire and fireworks night. Staff of Blitz Fireworks, in Crewe, were busy dealing with hundreds of people looking forward to Spooktacular 2013 at Dorfold Park.
Supermarket staff in Nantwich helped spook a few customers and raise money for their local hospital. Workers at Sainsbury’s, on Middlewich Road, had fun in the store by paying £1 each to wear Halloween fancy dress.
Pupils at a Nantwich primary school helped raise more than £200 for a new build project with a frightfully good Halloween disco. Youngsters at Sound and District Primary turned out in force to a themed fancy dress dance organised by the PTA.
Youngsters and their parents dressed up in spookily good clothing to celebrate Halloween. These pictures show the fun had by children and their mums and dads at an event in Broughton Road, Crewe.
Nantwich youngsters can enjoy some spooky half -term fun at the town’s museum this week. Nantwich Museum on Pillory Street is staging workshops on Wednesday and Thursday (October 24 and 25).
Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan will add glamour to a spectacular bonfire and fireworks display in Nantwich. The pin-up, who plays Rovers barmaid Tina McIntyre in the ITV soap, will be at the “Spooktacular” Halloween family fun night at Dorfold Park on October 27.
Ghosts and ghouls crept into floristry workshops at Reaseheath College when junior florists made spooky Halloween designs. Eleven students on a new floristry course made individual designs combining flowers and foliage, pumpkins and ghostly accessories.
Bats will be spreading their previously-torn wings for Halloween after a new way of treating them was discovered at a Nantwich animal centre. A bat carer at RSPCA Stapeley Grange wildlife centre, on London Road, found even the most dramatic of tears down the wing can heal if the animal is given care.
