But councillors have raised concerns that both sites could be for large houses ‘which are not needed’.

Three hundred homes could built in Crewe town centre instead of a leisure park which Cheshire East Council shelved due to rising costs.
The council is currently in talks with an unnamed developer over proposals to build the 300 homes on the former Royal Arcade site.
Residents have warned of more traffic chaos after Muller unveiled plans for another 400 houses at their site in Stapeley, Nantwich.
Muller Property Group wants to build a second phase of its Maylands Park site and have posted flyers through hundreds of letterboxes this week.

Plans have been submitted for 18 homes on land at Doddington Estate at Bridgemere, which is expected to see a total of 112 dwellings on site over future years.
Outline permission for the scheme was granted at appeal in 2020 after Cheshire East Council refused the application.
More detailed plans for regeneration Crewe town centre have been unveiled.
It includes major housing developing in the heart of the town, a new public open space for cultural events, and new pedestrian links and cycleways.

Landlords with longer-term empty properties face higher taxes as Cheshire East Council looks to toughen its stance.
The local authority increased a premium on empty properties in April 2019 – meaning owners of homes stood empty for at least two years pay double the amount of council tax other households pay.

A developer’s bid to add four more homes to a rural development near Bickerton Hill has been rejected by councillors.
Cheshire East Council’s southern planning committee turned down a scheme from Torus Group to build 17 homes – including six affordable properties – on vacant former agricultural land in Mill Lane, Bulkeley.
