College employee Richard Stack transformed his South Cheshire home into a Halloween ‘House of Horrors’ to raise more than £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The 53-year-old South Cheshire College worker decked his back garden with ghoulish creations, wicked witches and a mini-graveyard in support of the national charity.
A 12-hour fund-raising ‘Tennisathon’ took place at Wistaston Tennis Club on Church Lane, Wistaston.
Several members of Wistaston Tennis Club took part and 24 sets (201 games) were played during the event.
A charity ‘Tennisathon’ is taking place tomorrow (August 8) in Wistaston.
The 12-hour tennis event will run from 7.30am until 7.30pm.
A South Cheshire company specialising in vintage events proved a big hit at the 12th Audlem Music and Arts Festival. Family-run Happy Heritage, based in Hankelow near Nantwich, introduced the a “Pop-Up 1920s Speakeasy” to the festival to give punters a taste of the roaring 20s.
