Claire Kirton, 46, of Coleridge Way, Crewe, pleaded guilty to two offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and appeared for sentencing at South Cheshire Magistrates’ Court.

A 60-year-old man from South Cheshire who sexually assaulted a young girl over a period of two years has been jailed.

Arthur Cooke, previously of Sandown Road in Crewe, committed the offences between 1999 and 2001.
