Cheshire East planning officers are urging councillors not to defend an appeal from Nightingale Land to build 75 homes in the open countryside at Nantwich.
The company wants to build the dwellings on a 3.83-hectare field off Broad Lane, in Stapeley.

Controversial plans for 116 homes in the open countryside at Audlem have been unanimously refused by Cheshire East’s strategic planning board.
Planning officers at Cheshire East Council are recommending a bid to build 85 more homes on fields off London Road in Nantwich be approved.
The application is for land in Stapeley which is mostly greenfield agricultural land.

Planning officers have recommended councillors give the go-ahead to convert a former workhouse which later became part of the Barony Hospital, into apartments.
Greenhouse Property Management wants to convert Bevan House, the three-storey listed former workhouse building, and John Snow House, a two-storey separate detached building on the Barony site in Nantwich, into 31 apartments.
Plans for a new car wash on land close to Nantwich Town’s ground and neighbouring properties have been refused by Cheshire East planners.
The proposals sparked concerns among resident, with 34 lodging official objections to the proposal earmarked for land which is used as an overspill car park on match days.
Planners are recommending councillors approve an application for the retail and employment phase of the Maylands Park development at Stapeley in Nantwich, writes Belinda Ryan.
Outline approval for the whole controversial scheme – which includes residential and employment use – was granted on appeal by the Secretary of State in July 2020.

Plans to build five holiday lodges in open countryside near Nantwich have been recommended for approval by planners, despite objections from residents and parish councillors.
The scheme is earmarked for land at Fletchers Pool, off Bridgemere Lane at Hunsterson.

Plans for a small pet and horse crematorium near Nantwich have been given the go-ahead by Cheshire East councillors.
Cheshire East’s southern planning committee had earlier this month deferred the application to use a rural outbuilding at Doddington Mill House, off Mill Lane in Doddington, for the cremations.
Councillors have been advised to refuse plans to build six new office blocks with car parking and access at a site in Nantwich.
Applicants want to erect the new office development on land North of Alvaston Roundabout on Middlewich Road.

Plans to use a rural outbuilding near Nantwich for pet and horse cremations have been recommended for approval.
But the application, which includes two incinerators at the rural building at Doddington Mill House, off Mill Lane in Doddington, has been “called in” by local councillor Janet Clowes.

The two-storey building will house a sports hall, illuminated roof-top sports pitch (MUGA), changing and showering facilities, a café/coffee shop and kitchen and a range of meeting rooms and activity areas.

Cheshire East planners have recommended approval for up to 25 entry-level homes on a Bunbury site where permission for 15 homes was refused less than two years ago.
In July 2021 the southern planning committee turned down an application from Roger Ryder to demolish a house called Parkside, on Bunbury Lane, and build 15 homes on the land.
