Very Best in Stand Up - nathan caton live at the apollo

‘The Very Best In Stand Up’ returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on June 2 before taking a 12-week summer break.

And promoters have lined four class acts for the show in Danny McLoughlin, Matt Reed, Julian Deane, and headliner Nathan Caton.

Reed, born and bred in Sunderland, has won fans across the UK thanks to a natural rapport that is found in few comics.

Having played all the major clubs in the country, he is now in great demand as MC for music festivals, burlesque nights and corporate occasions.

Second act is award-winning ‘gagsmith’ Deane, who took the roof off the Civic at the 2015 New Year’s Eve show.

He first performed stand up in 2005, and possesses a brilliant, original and hilarious routine which has earned him appreciation, recognition and praise across the country.

Headline act Caton (pictured) has gone on to bigger things since his last appearance in Nantwich.

He has been gigging since the age of 19, and he has established himself both as a circuit headliner, and a name on TV and radio.

He had picked up various accolades and coveted plaudits including the Chortle Student Comic of the Year award and Broadcast Hotshot.

He has written and starred in a pilot for Paramount Comedy (now Comedy Central) entitled The Nathan Caton Show.

And since last appearing in Nantwich, he has been on ‘Live At The Apollo’ and several episodes of ‘Mock The Week’.

Compere for the evening is Chester native Danny McLoughlin.

A safe pair of hands for any audience, he makes the trickiest job for any comedian look almost effortless.

Danny MC’s his own regular Chester Uni gig alongside pro acts and was a finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year 2008.

The show is on Friday June 2 and tickets are just £10 from the Civic Hall direct or online at www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.
