Most schools across Nantwich will be closed tomorrow (November 30) along with public venues like Nantwich Baths as part of national strike action.
All major teaching unions, including the headteacher’s NAHT, are involved in the strike which leaves thousands of youngsters in South Cheshire at home for the day.
Schools closed include Brine Leas Academy and Malbank School, which will be open for the Sixth Form only.
Many primaries are also shut, including Pear Tree Primary (pictured), Acton Primary, Calveley Primary, Millfields Primary and Nursery, Shavington High and Primary Schools, St Oswald’s Worleston, Weaver Primary, Wyche Primary, Wrenbury Primary and Wybunbury Delves.
Schools which are staying open, according to the latest Cheshire East Council informatio, include Highfields and St Anne’s in Nantwich, Willaston Primary, Wistaston Green, Sounds & District, and Wistaston Church Lane, Bunbury Aldersey, Bicketon Holy Trinity and Bridgemere C of E.
Stapeley Broad Lane Primary is closed only to Year 2 pupils, open to other year groups.
Public facilities like Nantwich Pool and Barony Park sports complex are also closed for the day.
Council officers are also warning of disruption to bin collections for those with normal Wednesday collection dates.
