Nantwich Town boss Jimmy Quinn has strengthened his squad by signing ex Northwich Victoria star Lewis Short.
The left-sided midfielder played a big part in helping the Vics to second place in the Evo-Stik Premier Division last season.
“He is a fabulous addition to the squad and someone I have been after for a long time,” said Quinn.
“He has really grown in stature and confidence over the past year and improved as a player, as anyone who saw him play for Northwich will know.
“He will provide us with some exciting options, as he loves to get forward and his throw ins and crosses are first class.
“I am sure the supporters will be pleased to see him back and will enjoy watching him play.”
Short, who came through the famed Crewe Alex Academy and spent a spell on loan at Nantwich, revealed he’d had offers from clubs in higher divisions.
He said: “I am really pleased to be coming back to Nantwich. After speaking with the gaffer and chairman and seeing the calibre of the players already in place, I am convinced I have chosen the right club.
“I think we can be a real force in this league next season and I am looking forward to getting started and re-acquainting myself with the supporters, who have always been great to me.”
Meanwhile, Chris Flynn, Matt Lowe, Josh Lane, Tom Urwin and Rod Mcdonald have all committed themselves to Nantwich for the 2012-13 season.
