Nantwich Town have signed Fraser McLachlan from Colwyn Bay.

Jimmy Quinn moved in for the 29-year-old midfielder after he spent a successful loan spell at the Weaver Stadium last season.

McLachlan was pivotal in guiding the Dabbers to their historic FA Cup first round proper tie at MK Dons.

And Quinn is delighted to have captured the former Stockport County and Morecambe player on a permanent basis.

“Fraser signing for us is a huge plus,” said the Nantwich boss.

“He has bags of experience and showed us last season what he could do. He makes a big difference in the middle of the park and is as fit as a fiddle.”

McLachlan netted once in 12 appearances for Nantwich on loan from the Blue Square Bet North side.

The Mancunian progressed through the youth set-up at Stockport, making his Football League debut in March 2002.

He has also served Northwich Victoria (on loan) and Mansfield Town.
