A housing firm has launched a new scheme to help elderly residents in Nantwich live longer in their own homes.
Platform says the new service will offer residents a chance to adjust and alter their homes to make daily living tasks easier and safer.
The company, part of the social housing organisation Wulvern, is working with an occupational therapist.
Manager Jason Russell alterations could be small such as fitting a grab rail, ramp or lever taps.
“Or it could be a more extensive installation such as a stairlift or wet floor shower room,” he added.
“Our specialist installers have expert knowledge and experience in fitting the latest mobility products enabling customers to remain safe and independent in their own homes for as long as possible.”
For more information or to arrange a home assessment, call 0845 2011145.
Platform are involved in the current construction of Wulvern’s £1.8 million development on Wellington Road, Nantwich.
The three-storey building with underground parking includes 12 two-bedroom and two one-bedroom apartments for rent.
Development manager Nick Powell said: “We have already made a start on site and plan to complete in March 2013.”
Great to see what you are doing to help the physical requirements of the elderly. We also provide a service to improve their lives, but based on companionship and helping with their mental stimulus. Please can we talk to see if we can work together to benefit the end Customers on both fronts?
