Nantwich Town new boy Kyle Wilson made it two hatricks in two pre-season games.
The former FC United striker bagged another trio of goals as the Dabbers beat Alsager Town 4-1.
This followed on from his impressive treble in his debut against Macclesfield.
Wilson’s stunning second half hat-trick demolished a plucky Alsager who certainly didn’t make it easy for Jimmy Quinn’s side.
Quinn reserved special praise for Wilson: “He knows where the net is, that’s for sure.
“He’s the kind of striker that needs the right service and I think if we can play like that and get good service to Kyle he’ll certainly put it away.
“We’ve been lucky to have Michael Lennon’s goals over the years but now we’ve got somebody who’s a bit younger which bodes well.
“We’ve got the best keeper in the league and a solid defenceso I can’t wait for the season to start.”
With Fraser McLachlan and Mark Beesley both unavailable, Quinn shuffled his pack for the friendly encounter at the Town Ground in front of a good following of Nantwich fans.
It took a while for the side to settle but after a goalless first half, the game burst into life after the break.
Partnered by fellow new boy Will Jones, Wilson plundered a sparkling hat-trick and was only denied a fourth when an Alsager defender got ahead of him to divert a Lewis Short cross into his own goal.
The game proved another good workout for Quinn’s men who continue their pre-season preparations with a visit to Prestatyn tomorrow evening (July 31).
Nantwich can also look forward to a date with Premier League Stoke City.
The Potters have confirmed they will bring a side to the Weaver Stadium for a pre-season encounter next Monday August 6, kick off 7.30pm.
Stoke are expected to bring a side comprising of mainly under-21 players – the the nucleus of their side for the revolutionary new under-21 Premier League which kicks off this season.
