A ‘Grand Mad Hatters Tea Party’ at Minshull’s in Crewe helped to raise vital funds for South Cheshire cancer patients.
Minshull’s donated 50p for each cup of tea and coffee bought along with proceeds from cake sales to Marie Curie Cancer Care
Grants Butchers also donated 50p for each pound of their sausages sold at Minshull’s on the day.
Chris Barratt, chairman of the Marie Curie Cancer Care South Cheshire Group, said: “We were delighted with everyone’s efforts.
“Together with the tea, coffee, cakes and sausage sales, along with a sale of donated jewellery we raised a grand total of £461.40.
“The money will go towards providing home nursing care for cancer patients in our area.”
