‘The Very Best in Stand Up’ returns to Nantwich Civic Hall with another top bill of acts featuring international talent on March 1.
And one of the circuit’s best MCs Dan Nightingale is hosting the event.
Having recently been on “John Bishop’s Only Joking”, Dan’s stock is due to climb even higher in 2013.
Opening act is Steve Gribbin, a diminutive guitar-wielding satirist from Liverpool whose scabrous comedy songs, and off the wall observations have made him one of the firm favourites of the comedy circuit.
Steve’s original comedy songs combine razor sharp lyrics with tunes that put their foot in the door of your mind and refuse to leave.
Second up is Nathan Caton, one of the shining lights in the new breed of British comics.
He burst onto the comedy scene aged just 19 and quickly landed his own TV series “The Nathan Caton Show” on Comedy Central.
Critical plaudits and further TV shows quickly followed, including appearances on “Mock The Week” and “Russell Howard’s Good News”.
And closing the show is top American comic Dave Fulton.
Dave started performing in clubs in is home country from San Francisco to New York and crossed the Atlantic to the UK, taking his act to Hong Kong and South Africa along the way.
He spends a lot of his time in Great Britain, headlining clubs. His wry observations of the British will make his audience take a good long look at themselves.
Dave has honed his talents as both a performer and a writer, notching three appearances on “Never Mind The Buzzcocks”.
He also acted alongside Steve Coogan in “Saxondale” and his writing credits now include “The Omid Djalili Show”.
Tickets for the March 1 show are £10, available from Nantwich Civic Hall and www.civiccomedy.co.uk
