A hedge fire spread to a nearby shed at a property in Nantwich.

Fire crews from Nantwich were called out to the blaze on Broad Lane in Stapeley.

The hedgerow was well alight and the fire had spread. One hose reel jet was used to put out the fire which caused damage to a neighbouring property.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check there were no hostpots of fire at neighbouring houses before the firefighters left the scene.

The incident happened at around 1pm today (April 26), no one was injured.

It’s not clear how the fire started.

In a separate incident, fire damaged a detached property on Oakfield Avenue in Wrenbury, near Nantwich.

Crews from Nantwich and Crewe found the house heavily smoke-logged and two breathing apparatus wearers used hose reels together with two covering jets to tackle the blaze which started in the kitchen area.

It happened at around 11am on Wednesday (April 24).
