Artwork from Nantwich youngsters taking part in Sk0olsFest 2013 is now on show at Nantwich Museum.
“Our Town” is the latest exhibition in the Millennium Gallery featuring the artwork of pupils from 14 Nantwich primary and secondary schools.
It forms part of SkoolsFest13, organised by the Nantwich Education Partnership (NEP), to celebrate the artistic talents of pupils across the town.
While the museum reflects the past this exhibition reflects the future with imaginative, colourful and vibrant work from the young talented artists.
At the opening of the exhibition which runs until Saturday July 20, museum trustee Graham Dodd congratulated them and the schools on the production of “a superb exhibition”.
He noted the great variety of eye-catching exhibits and the “wow” factor when entering the Millennium Gallery.
“The exhibition impresses because of its diversity and the amazing array of talent on show. The rich history of the town has been displayed in a most spectacular and comprehensive fashion.”
It is hoped that as many visitors as possible will be able to enjoy the event. Entry to the museum is free.
Artwork seen in these pictures was produced by pupils at Brine Leas, Malbank, Willaston Primary and Weaver Primary.
SkoolsFest also featured hundreds of youngsters performing at the weekend.
Pupils formed a large choir and sang in the town square, while others performed theatrical shows, including Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
