Nantwich Town Council is planning another Civic Hall party after hailing its first 80s night a huge success.
The council teamed up with Warble Entertainment to stage The 80’s Party Night, and the event was a sell-out.
Four hundred people packed the Civic Hall to watch a Madonna tribute, performances from live band The Charming Skulls, and a disco of classic tracks.
And almost everyone took part in fancy dress, donning classic fashion made fashion in the 80s by stars like Freddie Mercury, Adam Ant, Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper.
Now the venue is planning to stage a 60s Party Night in 2014 to build on the success.
Nantwich Town Cllr Arthur Moran said: “To achieve a complete sell out proves people of Nantwich and the surrounding area will support live entertainment at a reasonable ticket price.
“Look out for our ‘60’s Mania’ event in May. Buy your tickets early.”
Warble Entertainment’s Tracey Warren said: “We’re thrilled at the show overall and really thankful to everyone who came and supported the event.
“Seeing people dancing in every corner of the room to all the great songs from the 80’s was an amazing sight and we’re really looking forward to the next show in May.”
The next Warble Events show takes place on May 9 when the 60’s gets the show treatment.
One of the top Beatles tribute bands are lined up to perform along with a set by The Sunflowers followed by more classic 60’s songs.
