Blyth FA Cup - Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium, pre-season games, community football

Nantwich Town fans will be supporting the Dabbers and Leighton Hospital at their next home match!

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity staff and volunteers will be at the game against Blyth Spartans at the Weaver Stadium this Saturday to help raise funds for new equipment.

They will also be giving out information to raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

Dame Patricia Bacon, non-executive director for Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Organ and tissue donation is the most generous gift of all and it changes, and saves, lives.

“We invite you to visit us at the match for some more information and the chance to join the register.

“It can be a good idea to share your decision with your friends and family, to let them know your wishes and why you feel it is important.”

Laura Bailey, fundraising manager at MCHC, added: “We hope fans will really get behind our charity and give generously to our collection to help fund new equipment that can make a real difference to our patients.”

MCHC raises funds to enhance the facilities and services at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s three sites – Leighton Hospital, Victoria Infirmary and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre.

It recently raised £1.8 million to create a new neonatal unit at Leighton Hospital.

Tickets for the game on February 1, kick off 3pm, are £9 for adults.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust staff members will receive a discounted ticket price of £6 on production of their ID badge at the turnstiles.
